Information Collected

When you visit dailyharbor.org, basic technical data is recorded by our hosting provider's server logs. This includes your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used only for diagnosing technical issues and understanding aggregate traffic patterns.

If you submit a message through our contact form, we collect the name, phone number, and email address you provide, along with the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not used for marketing.

Cookies

This site uses a single first-party cookie to store your cookie consent preference (accept or reject). This cookie contains no personally identifiable information and expires after 365 days. If you reject cookies, the preference is stored in your browser's localStorage, not in a cookie.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

Some images on this site are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons servers (upload.wikimedia.org). Loading these images may result in your IP address being visible to the Wikimedia Foundation under their own Privacy Policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking scripts.

Data Retention

Server log data is retained for up to 30 days. Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months, after which they are permanently deleted unless ongoing correspondence requires a longer period.

Your Rights Under Canadian Law

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, and to withdraw consent for its use. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@dailyharbor.org.
